Runurban Training Program Frequently Asked Questions

Whatís different about RunUrbanís program?
RunUrban’s Marathon training program is unique in that it is completely customized for you as an individual athlete. We achieve this by assigning you a Personal Coach, who will mail you a daily running program, as well as attend your weekly workouts. This Coach understands your personal goals, challenges, and abilities, and will customize a program specifically for your needs!

I’m a new runner, can I still participate?
Yes! RunUrban’s experienced coaching staff will design a program for you no matter what your level of experience.We dorecommend that you have a running base of 15 miles per week.

What if I travel on weekends and can’t make long runs?
One of the biggest assets of the RunUrban program is your Personal Coach. Your coach will email a daily running program on a weekly basis. It is not necessary to complete long runs as a group.

I’m a new runner, can I still participate?

What If I cannot make two speed workouts per week?
Your Personal Coach will email you a substitute workout which you can complete on your own time in lieu of the group session.

I’m not sure yet if I really want to do a marathon or if I want to commit to six months?
Your health and physical endurance will improve immensely by investing in this six month program. You are under no obligation to complete a marathon at the end of the program, but we hope you will be inspired to do so!

I would like to run a half marathon this fall instead of a marathon, is this training still appropriate for me?
Yes! Your Personal Coach will customize your weekly schedule for half -marathon training. The group sessions are importantelements of training programs for events of all distances.

I am competing in a triathlon, is this training still appropriate for me?
The RunUrban training program will ensure you are amply prepared for the running portion of your event.

What if I get injured?
Upon your clearance to participate, your Personal Coach will modify your program accordingly. RunUrban will also refer you to our support experts to assist you in your recovery. If a doctor declares that you are unable to complete the program, you willbe refunded for any pre-paid portion of your program with adoctor’s letter. No retroactive refunds will be provided.

Can I pay in installments?
RunUrban offers a three installment payment plan upon your six month commitment.

MEET YOUR COACHES AND COUNSELORS
RunUrban is NYC’s premiere program because our staff believes in excellence. At RunUrban we believe in first hand experience and education. Those two things build the foundation of all our programs. Our Coaches are all USA Track & Field Certified and are practicing runner’s themselves. Our nutrition counselors are graduates of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition with different specialties.
