Movement preparation versus Stretching
Static stretching prior to activity can leave you weak and more vulnerable to injury.

At this Free seminar, you'll learn about a dynamic way to warm up before running, called "Movement Preparations" which lubricate the Spine and Joints and essentially wake up supportive muscle groups. This active warm-up method is found to be more critical and of greater importance than static stretching prior to activity. Most athletes "warm up" and "cool down" without purpose or any specific routine. This informative seminar discusses the value of both Movement Preparation and Stretching routines and how to make them part of your training program.

This seminar is appropriate for all levels of Athletes.
This information is new and has the potential to enhance sports performance.

Attendees of this seminar will learn:
+ Sample Movement Preparation exercises specific for Running
+ How to incorporate these movements and stretches into your workout routines

TESTIMONIAL

"From shaving nearly a minute off my mile and 10 minutes off my half marathon time to doing the unthinkable - a 48-minute PR and a sub 3:20 Chicago Marathon - training with Urban Athletics' Speed and Form over the past year has developed me from someone just running for fun into a runner who has the desire and ability to acheive their highest goals. Workouts are challenging and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people of all levels to train with. Coaches push you to become a faster and stronger runner, motivating you to look beyond where you're at as a runner to what you're capable of accomplishing.

P.s. The pizza parties are pretty great too! (that one's for Nadine)"

TESTIMONIAL

"I’d been running for a year and a half when I joined the UA training program. In a mere six weeks, I knocked an entire minute off my fastest mile pace! If it sounds too good to be true, believe me, I thought so too—my (very patient) coach finally got out his measuring wheel to prove the course was accurate. At every workout with UA, I learn something new about being a better runner—how to improve my form, run more efficiently and build mental toughness. Whether you have a specific goal in mind, or you’re just looking to get fitter and faster, I highly recommend the UA program—it has made a world of difference in my running." - Julia

TESTIMONIAL

"I'm new to UA and have found the training different from other running clubs in that the coaching is completely personalized. I'm not following a boilerplate group schedule, so it's easy to incorporate my life... work travel, races, and vacations with a comprehensive schedule made just for me." - Janine

TESTIMONIAL

"My coach takes me seriously as a runner, pushing me to run as fast as I can while listening to my concerns, aches, pains, and also to the cold, hard numbers. His plan for me is individual, the same philosophy he uses for other runners, but tailored for my experience and my body's response to the program. The progress that I have made and the feeling that I take away has been worth every minute and every penny that I have spent on this program. " - Damaris
